At St. Patrick's Academy

A New Era in Academics

St. Patrick's Academy Students

Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, St. Patrick's Academy is thrilled to partner with the Institute for Catholic Liberal Education (ICLE) for a transformative three-year renewal.

This transition deepens our Catholic identity, moving beyond mere job training to foster a lifelong pursuit of Truth, wisdom, and virtue. Schools embracing this model are seeing a heartening renaissance of academic excellence and faithful engagement.

The ICLE Mission

Founded in 1999, ICLE helps Catholic schools reclaim the Church's 2,500-year-old classical tradition.

By replacing industrialized, secular educational methods with an approach that forms the whole person, schools nationwide are experiencing revived enrollment, deepened faith, and a renewed joy in learning. We aim to treat students not merely as future producers, but as creatures made in the image and likeness of God.

Catholic Liberal Education in Action

Our Three-Year Renewal Plan

Our faculty will be fully supported through workshops, retreats, and ongoing consulting over a three-year journey:

  • Year 1: Restoring Mythos and Logos – Focusing on inquiry, curriculum reviews, and foundational narratives.
  • Year 2: Refining the Art of Pedagogy – Enhancing teaching methods through mimetic instruction to inspire active engagement.
  • Year 3: Restoring the Beauty of the Quadrivium – Integrating math and science to reveal the harmony and spiritual unity in all knowledge.

Joy of Learning at St. Patrick's

Why Catholic Liberal Education?

  • How to Think: Using the classical Trivium (Grammar, Dialectic, and Rhetoric), we equip students with the "tools of learning" rather than just isolated subjects.
  • Integrated Vision: We weave history, literature, art, and natural philosophy together into a unified whole.
  • Joyful Discovery: The result is a vibrant school culture where students experience wonder, awe, and genuine joy in their learning.

Resources & Recommended Reading

We invite parents to explore the profound beauty of Catholic Liberal Education. We highly recommend reading The Catholic School Playbook(copies are available at the West Campus—please reach out to Mr. Diekhans to borrow one!).
